Model 3M(TM) VHB(TM) Tape can join dissimilar materials like plastic and metal, glass and metal, and aluminum and steel. It disperses pressure along entire length of seam, unlike rivet or joint where stress is concentrated in certain points. When bonding 2 unlike materials, it can resist differing co-efficients of thermal expansion. Tape prevents galvanic corrosion between metals and provides moisture seal as well as smooth, clean surface.

Tailored Label Products to Demonstrate 3M(TM) VHB(TM) Tape That Makes Mechanical Fasteners Obsolete
Tailored Label Products will be showcasing the 3M(TM) VHB(TM) tape which makes rivets, screws and welds obsolete. This tape can join dissimilar materials, like plastic and metal, glass and metal, aluminum and steel, and more, easily and tightly.
