Measuring 0.62 x 0.32 x 0.28 mm, SP1005 Series offers up to ±30 kV ESD protection and 10 A of surge protection with only 0.7 W of dynamic resistance, while Series SP1007 can withstand up to ±8 kV ESD, which protects up to max level of IEC61000-4-2 international standard. Both discrete bidirectional devices are suitable for designs where board space is severely limited including mobile phones, camcorders, PDAs, digital cameras, PNDs, and POS terminals.

CHICAGO, IL, - Littelfuse, Inc. (NASDAQ/NGS:LFUS) announced the introduction of the SP1005 and SP1007 Series today. Both series are discrete bidirectional TVS diodes for ESD protection measuring only 0.62x0.32x0.28mm.
The SP1005 (30pF @ 0V) offers up to ±30kV ESD protection and 10A (tP=8/20µs) of surge protection with only 0.7W of dynamic resistance, providing best-in-class clamping performance. The SP1007 (3.5pF @ 2.5V) can withstand up to ±8kV ESD, which protects up to the maximum level of the IEC61000-4-2 international standard.
Both devices are particularly suitable for designs where board space is severely limited including applications such as mobile phones, smart phones, camcorders, PDAs, digital cameras, MP3/PMPs, portable navigation devices, portable medical devices, and point-of-sale terminals. Furthermore, the SP1005 offers best-in-class ESD clamping due to its low dynamic resistance of only 0.7W.
