Newest Grade of Maxelast® TPEs from APS Provides Low Cost Alternative for Handles, Grips, Cosmetic Cases, Cap Liners

Romulus, MI -- A new, low cost grade of Maxelast® TPEs for toothbrush handles plus other handles and grips and other personal care item handles is now available from Alliance Polymers and Services, LLC. APS is the exclusive North American distributor of thermoplastic elastomers from Polymax Elastomer Technologies.

With the emphasis on lower costs than comparable TPEs, the new P2844 Series of Maxelast thermoplastic elastomers offer excellent overmolding onto a polypropylene base for handles that provide a soft, comfortable ergonomic grip. The TPE can also be used for stand alone applications.

The many applications for the low cost TPE include, but need not to be limited to, toothbrush handles as well as other products where colorability and a soft touch feel are required or desired to enhance customer appeal. Further, according to company sources, the TPE is easy to process. Available in both translucent and natural color pellets with no minimum quantity limits, the new grade can be ordered in a Shore A hardness range from 25 to 30.

APS is the exclusive distributor of Maxelast TPEs in North America. Maxelast SEBS-based TPEs are manufactured by Polymax Elastomer Technology Co., Ltd., one of the world's leading producers of TPEs (thermoplastic elastomers) and TPRs (thermoplastic rubbers).
