Original Press Release:

Dynasty® 210 and Maxstar® 210 Deliver High-Quality, Versatile TIG Welding Solutions in the 200-Amp Class

New models offer exceptional TIG and stick performance in easy-to-use, versatile and portable packages that allow for upgrade flexibility

APPLETON, Wis. — Building on a long legacy of dependable TIG welding solutions, the new Dynasty® 210 and Maxstar® 210 welders released by Miller Electric Mfg. Co. deliver up to 210 amps of output power, and exceptional TIG and stick performance in easy-to-use, versatile and portable packages that also allow for upgrade flexibility.

Replacing the Dynasty 200 model, the Dynasty 210 power source is AC/DC TIG/stick-capable and welds up to 1/4-inch steel and aluminum in a single pass. The DC TIG/stick-capable Maxstar 210 — replacing the recent Maxstar 200 model — welds up to 1/4-inch steel in a single pass. Offering class-leading portability, each stand-alone power source weighs 50 pounds or less and features dual carry handles and a carrying strap for easy transport.

“The new Dynasty 210 and Maxstar 210 welders are designed to address the challenges welding operators face every day and deliver flexible performance our customers can count on to complete a wide variety of jobs with outstanding weld quality,” said Andrew Pfaller, TIG product manager for Miller Electric Mfg. Co.

Base models of the new power sources provide operator-friendly, menu-driven features and improve performance on low-amperage applications. The Maxstar 210 STR model now features digital meters and dual welding memories for faster and more consistent process setup. The Dynasty DX model offers full AC features including advanced waveforms, along with wide ranges for balance and frequency to improve performance on aluminum.

Designed for fast and easy upgrade flexibility, the models now include a front-panel memory card data port, allowing for the download of software updates from MillerWelds.com/tigsoftware and the purchase of product feature expansions. By offering access to the most up-to-date software, the new memory card data port helps owners maximize their budgets and gain the best performance over a longer period of time.

All models now come standard with an easy-to-reach standby power switch on the front of the unit, which is capable of placing the machine into a sleep mode when not in use. Each model also features Miller-exclusive Pro-Set™ technology to enhance ease-of-use and eliminate guesswork by providing pre-set welding parameters.

Standard on Dynasty water-cooled packages, a cooler power supply (CPS) is an integrated 120 V, dedicated-use receptacle designed to power the Coolmate™ 1.3. A power switch on the machine activates the receptacle to reduce the chance of torch failure. The new Cooler-On-Demand™ operates the cooling system only when needed — reducing noise, energy use and airborne contaminants pulled through the cooler.

“The operator-friendly interface and pre-set weld parameters provided by Pro-Set make the machine faster to set up and easy to use. By reducing the guesswork with a machine built for speed, convenience and results, operators can focus more on the welding,” said Pfaller.

Auto-Line™ power management technology provides added convenience by allowing the machine to connect to almost any type of available input power and produces a steady, high quality arc. Welding operators can now work in more places while maintaining a steady welding output for consistently high-quality welds.

Following the trend of previous Dynasty and Maxstar models, the new models are also fully compatible with Miller wireless remote control solutions — operators can work safer and faster up to 300 feet away (with hand control) from the power source. The elimination of cord tangles or failures helps increase time and money savings, and precise operator control at the weld joint further improves overall weld quality.
