Measuring 1.5 x 3.0 in., GEMexpress(TM) is integrated 6-layer PCBA that can interface to any display and is comprised of GEM Graphical OS Chip(TM) for color displays and those parts required to support this chip. Chip includes LCD controller, touch panel decoder, ARM7 processor, and Graphical Operating System in Silicon(TM). In addition to 32 Mb serial flash and 64 Mb SDRAM, features include 4- or 5-wire touch panel decoder, dedicated crystal, and necessary power management devices.

Amulet Technologies Launches a Universal TFT/OLED Display Driver Board for Graphic User Interfaces in Embedded Systems
Campbell, Calif. - Amulet Technologies, a recognized leader in graphic user interface (GUI) solutions, announced today their new universal TFT/OLED display driver board, GEMexpress(TM). It is the fastest, most inexpensive production solution for adding a GUI to an embedded product. GEMexpress(TM) can interface to virtually any display, allowing for greater design flexibility and a shorter time to market.
GEMexpressTM is highly integrated (a six-layer PCBA) measuring 1.5"x3.0" and is composed of Amulet's GEM Graphical OS ChipTM for color displays and those parts required to support this chip.
Amulet's chip includes the LCD controller, touch panel decoder, ARM7 processor and most important, a Graphical Operating System in SiliconTM, which manages the entire user interface (offloading this burden from the host processor). GEMexpressTM also includes a 32 megabit serial flash for storing GUI pages, 64 megabit SDRAM (frame buffer), an integrated 4 or 5 wire touch panel decoder, a dedicated crystal and necessary power management devices. The GUI is easy to program and is the only product on the market programmed with an HTML editor or GEMstudioTM, Amulet's new GUI design tool.
