No Burrs!

Press release date: February 12, 2002

SurfTran Manufacturing Co., L.L.C.- Madison Heights, Michigan manufacturers of TEM (Thermal Energy Method) systems which remove every burr, everywhere, everytime, with an intense burst of high heat. Thorough inspections of TEM finished parts show repeatable/dependable results for internal and external deburring of cast iron, steel, stainless steel and aluminum parts and the deflashing of die cast zinc parts. Transmission components, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) components, hydraulic/pneumatic valve bodies and others have to be burr and metallic contaminant free in order to have them function properly.

SurfTran manufactures manual and fully automatic TEM systems to produce burr free parts in a production atmosphere with this tried and proven thermal deburring method.

TEM- How It Works. The parts are indexed into the machine to under the thermal deburring chamber, the parts are sealed in the chamber by a force of 250 tons, a mixture of oxygen and natural gas is introduced into the chamber, a spark ignites the mixture, instantly vaporizing burrs and metallic contaminants inside and out.

SurfTran is known for producing quality TEM deburring and deflashing systems, electrolytic deburring/contouring systems and parts cleaning systems for over three decades.
