System monitors belt conveyors and bucket elevators.
May 8, 2006 -
Watchdog Elite System uses TouchSwitch sensor to detect edge of belt. Factory set to 12 lb force, TouchSwitch contact changes state when belt misaligns. ProxSwitch P800 provides speed input, while bearing temperature sensors monitor for hot bearings. Available as dry relay contacts or gateways, outputs connect to Profibus, Ethernet, or DeviceNet networks. Display shows belt speed and LCD message center provides real-time elevator/conveyor status information.

The popular 4B Watchdog "Elite" system is now able to monitor Belt Conveyors as well as Bucket Elevators.
Instead of the non-contacting inductive sensors detecting bolt heads, the TouchSwitch sensor is used to detect the edge of the belt. Factory set to a low 12 lbs force the Touchswitch contact changes state when the belt misaligns. A P800 ProxSwitch provides the speed input and bearing temperature sensors monitor for hot bearings. PlugSwitches can be connected to the system and outputs are dry relay contact or gateways are able to connect to Profibus, Ethernet, or DeviceNet networks. A large LED display shows the belt speed, and an LCD message center provides real time information on elevator/conveyor status.
Approved for Class II, Division 1, Groups E, F and G use in US and Canada
