Designed to assemble, inspect, and pack automotive vibration dampening mounts at rate of 30 ppm, Turnkey System can also be configured for small components and assemblies. During process, grommets are staked on inserts in nests which are attached to timing belt indexing conveyor. Parts are lubricated and pressed together to complete assembly. Finished parts are unloaded and inspected with 2 camera Keyence or Cognex vision system, and good assemblies are counted and dropped into customer totes.

Automotive Parts Assembly, Inspection & Packing
Cincinnati Automation releases a turnkey system designed to assemble, inspect, and pack automotive vibration dampening mounts at a rate of 30ppm. With new tooling, this machine could be configured for a range of small components and assemblies. Metal inserts are fed 2 at a time from bowl to nests. Rubber grommets are also fed 2 at a time from a 2nd bowl to nests. Grommets are staked on inserts in the nests which are attached to a timing belt indexing conveyor. The parts are lubricated and pressed together to complete the assembly. Finished parts are unloaded and 100% inspected with a 2 camera Keyence or Cognex vision system. Rejects are dropped individually into an internal container. Good assemblies are counted and then dropped into customer totes positioned below the machine. The PLC based control system includes programmable full box counters, machine function and alarm history displays. An optional integrated material handling conveyor is used to advance empty totes in and full totes out of the machine.
