January 17, 2002 - Precision Sampling Syringes have PTFE plunger tips, stress formed to insure leak-tight seal. Barrels up to 100 µl are fabricated from borosilicate glass. Smooth bore prevents undue wear of plunger tip and insures smooth, durable seal. Standard needle attachment includes barrier sleeve or packing of PTFE on rear of needle at zero point. This isolates sample from needle cement, preventing possible dissolution of adhesive or contamination of sample.

Precision Sampling Syringes
Precision Sampling Syringes from VICI come in a wide range of sizes and models for gas, liquid, or high pressure sampling. The plunger tips are fabricated of PTFE, stress formed by special process to insure a leak-tight seal. The self-lubricating plunger tip stays smooth for the life of the syringe.
Syringe barrels up to 100 ul are hand-fabricated from high quality borosilicate glass. The extremely smooth bore prevents undue wear of the plunger tip and insures a smooth, durable seal. Each syringe barrel undergoes a series of quality checks, including hand calibration for consistent volume delivery.
These careful steps in quality control insure every Pressure-Lok microsyringe meets stringent requirements for precision and accuracy.
Standard needle attachment includes a barrier sleeve or packing of PTFE on the rear of the needle at the zero point. This isolates the sample from the needle cement, preventing possible dissolution of the adhesive or contamination of the sample. Many models are available in a Luer-tip version.
Many Precision Sampling Syringes are partially or entirely rebuildable by the user, optimizing equipment investment. All models have a convenient rear flange to provide a secure grip and keep the syringe from rolling.
