DSP-based 73SD4 includes 6 independent, transformer-isolated, programmable synchro/resolver tracking converter measurement channels, each with 16-bit resolution, ±1 arc-min accuracy, tracking rate to 150 rps, digital velocity output, and incremental encoder outputs. Channel pairs can be programmed for any speed ratio from 1:1-255:1, and product operates over 47 Hz to 10 kHz frequency range. Each unit also includes 16 programmable DIO channels and latch feature.

6-Channel Programmable Synchro/Resolver-to-Digital Converter Now Available on PC-104 Card
Bohemia NY -- North Atlantic Industries (NAI) has announced the availability of a 6-channel Synchro/Resolver-to-Digital Converter on a PC-104 card. The DSP-based 73SD4 includes 6 independent, transformer isolated, programmable Synchro/Resolver tracking converter measurement channels. Each channel has 16-bit resolution, ±1 arc-minute accuracy, tracking rate to 150 RPS, accurate digital velocity output, incremental encoder (A+B) outputs, and wrap-around self-test. Channel pairs can be programmed for any speed ratio between 1:1 and 255:1. The unit requires a single +5Vdc power supply, operates over a frequency range of 47 Hz to 10 KHz, and has an autoranging input range from 2Vrms to 28Vrms. Additionally, each unit includes 16 programmable digital input/output channels, a latch feature for reading all channels simultaneously, and an optional programmable excitation reference supply.
The 73SD4 provides continuous background Built-In-Test (BIT) on all functions and channels, including reference and signal loss detection. The BIT is totally transparent to the user, requires no programming, and doesn't interfere with the normal operation of the card. Each Synchro/Resolver-to-Digital Converter channel is self-calibrating, without requiring removal of the card. The 73SD4 PC-104 card is ideally suited for military and commercial programs, including airborne, shipboard, ground mobile and C3I applications.
The 73SD4 is available with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +80°C. Pricing for 100 pieces of the 73SD4 is $2500 each. Delivery starts at 12 weeks ARO.
