Astrodyne Releases Medical Grade 225W Switching Power Supplies

May 16, 2008

Astrodyne Corp. announced the multi-package PMMK225 line of high density switching power supplies that provide output power of 225W with active PFC. All models accept universal input from 90-264Vac and 6 models, in each package style, are available that provide single outputs from 5 to 48Vdc.

The PMMK225 series is approved for UL/EN60601-1 medical safety specifications.

Utilizing high density SMT construction and providing power densities of up to 4Win³, the PMMK225 offers dramatically reduced case sizes which are said to be up to 30% smaller than products with similar output power. The PMMK225 series may be ordered in either of three package styles, including U-Channel, fully enclosed or DIN Rail mounts. All models feature short circuit, overvoltage and over current protection and an integral power-good LED indicator.

The PMMK225 series operates at 100% capability to a temperature of 50°C with 18CFM forced cooling. Dimensions are 7 x 3.86 x 1.5" (U-Channel) and all models feature screw terminal input/output connections. Commercial (PMK225) UL/EN60950-1 versions are also available.

The PMMK225 series is priced at $102 in OEM quantities with delivery at 6 weeks ARO.
