EAO Expands Series 04 High-Performance Switches for Machinery

Milford, CT - EAO Corporation of Milford, CT USA, a premier global supplier of Human Machine Interface (HMI) Systems and Components, announces the expansion of its Series 04 range of high-performance 22.5 mm switches to include new accessories for the machinery, process control, automation, and semiconductor industries.

The Series 04 range includes pushbuttons, indicators, keylocks, selector switches, and emergency stop switches. Enhancements include:
· Protective shroud for Emergency Stops (E-Stops)
· Push-in-terminal (PIT) contact blocks

The protective shrouds prevent accidental operation, a critical feature for semiconductor equipment. Molded from durable, non-breakable Lexan plastic, the shroud features an anti-rotational pin, plus the ability to lock the switch in position with a padlock after actuation. EAO part number 704.927.9 fulfils the requirements of the SEMI S2-93/12.4c standard, making it ideal for many types of semiconductor equipment applications.

The PIT contact blocks make wiring and assembly easier and faster than ever. Featuring a secure Phoenix Contact spring terminal, no assembly tools are required and there's better resistance to vibration. Elements are stackable, allowing for a variety of configurations to accommodate many types of user applications. They offer both snap-in action and slow make-contact styles. Ease-of-assembly allows for reduced labor and maintenance costs, and ultimately increases overall efficiencies.

Series 04 switches are sealed against dust and moisture to IP 65 and operate in temperatures ranging from -25◦C to 55◦C. All products comply with international standards, including CE, RoHS, CB-EN/IEC 60947-5-1, NFF 16-102, CSA, CCC, GOST, and German Lloyd.

Many of the world's leading manufacturers work with EAO as their partner for the integration of HMI Systems with their mission-critical applications. EAO's microsite (www.eao-hmi.com) provides a wealth of information on best practices for HMI Systems design, standards specific to each industry, and examples of real-world applications.
