D-Link Introduces Cloud Camera 5000 with HD Pan and Tilt

D-Link also introduces Enhanced Wireless N Day/Night Camera with microSD Slot for local video recording.

D-Link today expanded its award-winning mydlink-enabled IP camera line to include the D-Link Cloud Camera 5000 (DCS-5222L) offering pan/tilt capabilities and automatic day/night viewing, and the mydlink-enabled D-D-Link Enhanced Wireless N Day/Night Home Network Camera (DCS-942L) featuring a microSD slot for local video recording. Joining D-Link's portfolio of products bringing Cloud Services to the home network, the Cloud Camera 5000 and Enhanced Wireless N Day/Night Home Network Camera enable consumers to remotely access live video feeds on any desktop via the mydlink.com portal or on-the-go with an iPhone(TM), iPad(TM) or Android(TM) device with the mydlink app and included remote control.

"We are constantly working to enhance the features and capabilities of mydlink-enabled cameras and the mydlink.com portal to help people easily stay connected to new little ones, a pet, or valued possessions while they're away," said Daniel Kelley, associate vice president of marketing, D-Link North America. "From HD video streams and remote control of the camera's view with the pan/tilt Cloud Camera 5000, to local recording of live streams with the microSD slot on the Wireless N Day/Night Home Network Camera, the latest mydlink(TM) cameras give consumers added control and peace of mind 24/7."

The new Cloud Camera 5000 is a versatile surveillance solution for a home or small office offering pan/tilt capabilities, automatic day/night viewing, remote control, and a microSD slot for local recording. Allowing users to remotely adjust and control the camera's view to see up to 340° - 170° degrees on each side - and delivering 720p high-definition video at speeds of up to 30 fps (frame per second), the Cloud Camera 5000 provides crisp and clear live HD video streams. In addition, the camera offers enhanced security options with e-mail alerts for intrusions or disturbances and the ability to integrate external devices to trigger recording, including doorbells, alarms, lighting, and motion sensors. Featuring a compact design with internal antennas and 11n wireless, the camera can be easily moved throughout a home or small business.

The Enhanced Wireless N Day/Night Home Network Camera is a unique and versatile surveillance solution for day and night offering H.264 enhanced video compression to record up to five times more footage to the built-in microSD card slot when compared to MJPEG, and comes equipped with enhanced motion detection and night vision to see up to 15 feet in pitch black. The camera also comes with a built-in microphone to hear and see what matters most.
