Murrelektronik Suppressor Modules Limit Voltage Peaks

Duluth, Georgia, November 2, 2009 - Murrelektronik developed its Suppressor modules to limit dangerous voltage peaks in electronic and electrical units. When Suppressors are installed in the direct vicinity of the fault source, the peaks are much shorter, and the operational reliability, plant availability and service lives of contacts and coils are extended.

Murrelektronik Suppressors are ideal for machines and plants using fieldbus systems since voltage peaks can pose significant risks to operations. The modules also protect PLC outputs from premature failure, increasing the lives of switching elements up to three times. Additionally, an EMC complaint installation allows plants to achieve noise free, failure free operation.

Murrelektronik Suppressors are available in a wide range of casing types with several mounting options to allow fitting to motor terminal boxes, control cabinets, DIN rails and the underside of contactors.
