Absorb 27% More Voltage with Advanced Power Sentry Surge Protectors, Including 14-Outlet Model for Home Theaters & PC Workstations
15 Models With New Surge Suppression Technology
LAS VEGAS, May 9 / -- National Hardware Show, Booth #22506 -- Defending electronic equipment against power surges just got easier with 15 advanced surge protectors from Power Sentry that provide 27% more surge absorption capacity than conventional products. The top-of-the-line 14-Outlet Satellite/Home Theater & Professional Workstation Surge Protector (SRP $39.99) features a 4200 joule rating that leads the industry in its class. The other models have seven to 12 outlets, joule ratings of 1000 to 3500, and SRPs of $7.99 to $29.99.
All 15 products incorporate advanced V3(TM) surge protection technology, utilizing components that have been engineered both to withstand more voltage and to handle the higher heat levels created by the extra current. This provides safer and longer-lasting protection against sudden electrical current fluctuations for connected equipment as well as longer life for the surge protector itself.
Each package is clearly labeled to indicate the specific applications for which it is designed, ranging from home appliances and personal computers to TV/DVD players, business computers and office workstations.
"Consumers today are looking for three things from a surge protector: maximum defense against a power surge that can destroy their equipment, the ability to safeguard more devices on a single surge strip, and better guidance on which specific model to choose," said Kris Lichtscheidl, Power Sentry's Category Marketing Manager for Power Protection. "This new generation of surge protectors meets all of those demands."
All 15 products in the line include deluxe features such as Power Blocker(TM) automatic shutdown technology to protect connected devices against harmful power surges once the unit's capacity has been reached, EMI/RFI noise filtration to reduce interference from household appliances, and built-in cord management systems that help minimize clutter. All models have safety slides for childproofing purposes.
Each product also has features tailored to the environment for which it was intended. The top-of-the-line 14-outlet model, for example, includes telephone line protection with a splitter to accommodate both a phone and a computer, dual coaxial line protection with gold connectors to reduce data transmission-related noise, and an 8-foot power cord with a right-angle plug. The unit's 14 outlets can accommodate up to eight adapter-sized plugs.
The product line carries a $150,000 to $500,000 Limited Connected Equipment Warranty and is available now through mass market, drug, hardware and specialty stores.
