API Delevan Announces the Release of a Low Profile Ultra High Current Shielded Surface Mount Power Inductor Series

Series LP40R Shielded Low Profile Surface Mount Power Inductors

Series LP50R Shielded Low Profile Surface Mount Power Inductors

API Delevan has introduced its LP Series of shielded surface mount power inductors: LP4040R, LP5035R, LP5050R & LP5064R. These series are magnetically shielded to reduce interference in high-density boards, exhibit minimal DC resistance, and have superior current capabilities. These components are constructed with a unique inductive coil presenting two outer coil ends, each integrally formed into a terminal lead at opposed sides of the inductor.

Inductances are available from 0.150 µH to 2.20 µH with current ratings from 16 to 112 Amperes direct current. The components operate with temperature range of -20°C and +125°C and are available with a Lead Free* termination finishes, which complies with EU Directive 2002/95/EC and applicable amendments.

Ideal for use in:

o DC - DC Converters (e.g. Buck-Boost Converters)

o High power circuit filtering

o Automotive Systems

o Voltage Regulation

o Low profile circuit boards

o High density circuit boards

Product Highlights include:

o High current capabilities

o Low DC resistance

o Low profile design

o Magnetically shielded to minimize cross talk allowing for tighter assembly

o Environmental Operating Temperature Range -20°C to 125°C

Samples are available and production lead-time is stock to 8 weeks ARO. Order quantities can range from as small as 100 units to large volume production capability.

Specification sheets are available online:

o LP40 Series

o LP50 Series

API Delevan, an ISO9001:2000 & AS9100:2004 certified company, offers the world's largest selection of magnetics, including industry standard devices, circuit solution devices and application specific devices.
