January 28, 2014 - Used for retaining No. 2032 Lithium Coin Cells securely under shock and vibration in high-density applications, polarized coin cell holders have dual-spring contacts and may be used with vacuum and mechanical pick-and-place systems. Minimized height is made possible via method of partially mounting thru hole in PCB, allowing holder to sit through PCB. Stabilization tabs in LCP, UL 94V-0 base add mounting security, while gold-plated contacts promote PCB and solder joint mounting strength.

Press release date: January 27, 2014

Astoria, NY – When circuit board height is a critical design parameter, Keystone offers a solution with an ultra-low profile holder for the #2032 Lithium Coin Cells. These new holders rise only 2mm above the PCB surface and are ideal for retaining cells securely under shock and vibration in high-density applications for PCB requirements.

The dramatic reduction in the height of the holder on a circuit board is achieved by the unique method of partially mounting the holder thru a hole in the PCB, allowing the holder to sit through the PCB.  Built In Stabilization tabs in the LCP, UL 94V-0 base add mounting security while Gold plated contacts assure increased PCB and solder joint mounting strength.

These polarized coin cell holders are supplied on tape and reel (Part #1057TR) and in bulk (Part #1057) and feature dual-spring contacts.  Importantly, the holders may be used with most vacuum and mechanical pick-and-place assembly systems.

The company’s full line of battery hardware also consists of SMT and THM products including contacts, clips, holders, retainers and straps in assorted materials for coin cells and batteries.  In addition to a comprehensive line of interconnect hardware and components, Keystone provides application engineering services for product modification and special design requirements, supported by pro-active stamping, machining and assembly operations.

Keystone is ISO-9001:2008 certified, RoHS compliant, with US headquarters and offices in Canada, Europe, Australia and Asia.  For more information and literature, contact Keystone Electronics Corp., 31-07 20th Road, Astoria, NY 11105-2017; tel: (800) 221-5510; fax: (718) 956-9040; or view www.keyelco.com; Email: kec@keyelco.com.
