Littelfuse new 1206-size Slo-BloŽ Ceramic Fuse Offers Superior Electrical Performance in High Working Ambient Temperature up to 150°C

The 469 Series fuse provides very high inrush current withstand capability and is suitable for applications that experience high operating temperature environments.

CHICAGO, Illinois, August 26, 2009 - Littelfuse (NASDAQ: LFUS) announces today the introduction of 469 Series 1206-size Slo-BloŽ surface mount time-lag fuse. It is the only 1206-size Slo-BloŽ surface mount time-lag fuse with operating temperature capability up to 150°C in the market. The new series provides excellent electrical stability and performance reliability for electronic appliances that operate under ultra high temperature conditions. It enables the DC circuit being well protected when over-current occurs.

The series has high inrush current withstand (I2t) ratings up to 23.72A2s (8A current rating) for eliminating nuisance fuse open during momentary overload conditions.

The 469 Series has UL and CSA agency approvals and possesses a broad line of current ratings from 4A (32VDC) to 8A (24VDC) to meet different application needs. Current ratings from 1A to 3.5A will be introduced soon in the second phrase of the launch.

The 4A to 8A fuses have maximum fault current rating (Interrupting Rating) of 60A and are 100% Lead-free, Halide-free, and compliant to RoHS requirements.

It is particularly designed for protecting DC over-current conditions of a wide range of end device applications which are subject to high operating temperature including inverters in LCD TVs, LCD monitors, DC input and battery output of notebook computers, hard disk drives, XDSL modems, set-top boxes and gaming consoles.
