April 26, 2002 - Equiptop Surface grinders employ heavy-duty walls and reinforced ribs. Machines are available with 8, 12, and 14 in. wheel dia. Equiptop handfeed models (CSG-618/818) feature timing belt table drive with handwheel indexing to 9 positions without backlash. Hydraulic models utilize hydraulic drive system with some motor driven cross movement. Fully automatic models have programmable hydraulic table speed control and rack and pinion table drive.

Clausing Equiptop Precision Surface Grinders Available in Manual, Hydraulic and Fully Automatic Models
Clausing Industrial, Inc. offers Equiptop Manual, Hydraulic and Fully Automatic precision surface grinders for virtually any grinding application. To ensure precision, the table, saddle and base on all machines are constructed of high-grade cast iron with heavy walls and reinforced ribs for maximum rigidity. All slideways are hand scraped and coated with TURCITE-B, and the slideways and lead-screws are fully oiled by an automatic lubrication system. The spindle is supported by four preloaded precision angular contact ball bearings for heavy-duty operation. Machines are available with 8", 12" and 14" wheel diameters.
Equiptop handfeed models (CSG-618/818) feature a timing belt table drive with handwheel indexing to nine positions without backlash. Equiptop hydraulic models utilize a hydraulic drive system with some models having motor driven cross movement for more accurate increment feeding. Equiptop fully automatic models have a programmable hydraulic table speed control for repeatable speed rate settings and a rack & pinion table drive for hand operation. The ball screw for cross travel is powered by an AC motor, and the handwheels have zero-setting slip rings with a vernier scale.
