March 21, 2014 - With total power consumption of 0.5–1 W, Part No. REC0802 suits handheld and battery-operated applications requiring bright, clear display. This passive matrix 8 x 2 character display measures 58.0 x 32.0 x 10.0 mm, has 28.16 x 11.86 mm active area, and incorporates RS0010 controller IC. Display Off mode helps conserve energy and extend operating lifetime, which is 50,000 hr typ at room temperature. Typ logic voltage is 3.0 V, and operating range is -40 to +80C.

Microtips Technology is excited to announce our new 8x2” Sunlight Readable OLED display. This low cost passive matrix 8x2 character OLED display modules makes a great option for any application using small size LCDs. With a total power consumption of 0.5 to 1W, this OLED display for hand held and battery operated application where a bright clear and crisp display is needed. This display has a build in RS0010 controller IC and has the outline dimensions of 58.0 x 32.0 x 10.0 mm cube. With a build in display off mode to conserve energy, and power you can further extend operating life time. The average operating lifetime at room temperature is typically 50,000 Hrs with standard operation temperature at -40 to +80 degrees Celsius.

We have many other options of OLEDs such as character, graphics; TAB type. Using wide selections of emitting colors, like yellow, this is most common, but has other features like, Blue, Green, Red, amber, and White. This particular OLED has sunlight readable enhancements including special films and polarizer’s other options are available such as no polarizer. There are other features such as typical logic voltage 3.0V, but have others up to 5.0V, touch and without touch panel. There are other options on the road map or in development of special characteristics like, transparent, flexible, and special lighting. Our 8x2 Character OLED LCD has an interface pin function that R/W to MPU.
