New Series Includes Addition Of 70X HD Model.

Totowa, NJ (January 15, 2004) - Thales Angenieux has extended the company's line of redesigned studio and OB/sports box style lenses with the introduction of a new 70X HD model. A total of six lenses are included in the new Studio and OB/Sports Lens line.

"Our new series of studio and OB/sports lenses have been enhanced technically, ergonomically and aesthetically - plus we've extended the line with a new 70X model," said Chris Beauparlant, U.S. Sales Manager at Thales Angenieux.

The newly designed line includes the addition of a 70X HD Studio and OB/Sports Lens that delivers a focal range of 9.5 to 665mm (22 to 1330 with a 2X extender), and an aperture of f/2.2. The 70X joins Thales Angenieux's HD OB/Sports Lens line, which includes the 22 X 7.5 AIF, 62 X 9.5 AIF, 72X Digital AIF, 20 X 7.5 AIF HD, and 60 X 9.5 AIF HD.

Thales Angenieux's new studio and OB/sports box style lenses feature dust and condensation-free enclosures with an exclusive design for active and durable protection against humidity. In addition, they incorporate the "next generation" of advanced
performance optics with extremely tight tolerances. To provide maximum efficiency, the new studio and OB/sports box style series lenses require very low power for operation. This allows direct connection of the lens to the camera, eliminating the need for a power box.
