Image Industries Introduces Their New CD66 (Capacitor Discharge) Stud Welder

HUNTLEY, IL, October 17, 2006 - Image Industries introduces their latest stud welding industry innovation - the CD66 (Capacitor Discharge) Stud Welder. Measuring 10 5/8" x 9 11/16" x 6 7/8" (270 mm x 246 mm x 174 mm), the CD66 weighs only 10.5 lbs. (4.76 kg). Its tough, corrosion-proof plastic case is made from an ultra-high-impact co-polymer that provides extra insulation and resists rusting and denting in demanding work environments. The CD66 is by far the smallest, lightest (half the weight of competitors), and toughest stud welder on the market today.

Its highly flexible and rugged design works well across a wide range of industrial and insulation applications, standing up to even harsh environments as it delivers 24 welds-per-minute through its highly efficient rapid operation. Ideal for use in light industrial applications, the CD66 has a stud capacity of up to 1/4" steel and stainless steel, and is designed for the convenience and comfort of the operator. An adjustable shoulder strap helps enhance portability, making it a practical option for insulation applications.

Image's CD66 offers a variety of safety features for the user, including the industry's first Ground Fault Interruption (GFI) protection. The demand fan and thermal shut-down protection help prevent possible damage to the unit. Additional safety features include continuous system checks that will shut the unit down in the event of a component fault. Dual-weld SCRs provide maximum weld safety.
