December 22, 2003 - Grip-Tite Connectors help secure and seal cords or cables entering enclosure or cabinet. Two-piece internal design features nylon gripper coupled with neoprene grommet. Body and gland nut are malleable iron with protective zinc electroplate finish. Suited for NEMA 4 enclosures and other wet locations, connectors are rated liquidtight, oiltight, and raintight. Sizes range from ½ to 3 in. straights and ½ to 1Ό in. 90° to fit cords from .156 to 2.500 in.

ROSEMONT, IL, December 17, 2003 - Blending installation ease with rugged, dependable performance, Grip-Tite Strain Relief Connectors from O-Z/Gedney provide electricians with an ideal method of securing and sealing cords or cables entering an enclosure or cabinet.

Unique to the Grip-Tite design, the connectors have a two-piece internal design featuring a nylon gripper coupled with a neoprene grommet that yield unparalleled pullout protection and a true moisture-proof seal. Suitable for NEMA 4 enclosures and other wet locations, Grip-Tite connectors are rated liquidtight/oiltight/raintight, making them an excellent choice for marinas, outdoors and washdown areas, as well as Division 2 hazardous locations.

Grip-Tite connectors are designed to allow a cord or cable to be installed without disassembly of the fitting. Its ultra-slim profile means closer spacing between connectors. And the color-coded gripper makes for easier identification of cord and fitting compatability. The net result is a connector that installs faster with less effort and more security than any other on the market.

The Grip-Tite connector body and gland nut are quality built from malleable iron with a protective zinc electroplate finish. They are available in 1/2” to 3” straights and 1/2” to 1-1/4” 90 degree to fit cords ranging from .156” to 2.500”. Connectors are furnished complete with a knockout sealing ring and locknut.
