Nippon Pulse's 35mm High-Torque Stepper Motor

Nippon Pulse introduces its new PFC35TH tin-can stepper motor which offers high torque in a thin stack package. Nippon Pulse currently offers its PFC35TH stepper with 48 steps per revolution and a unipolar winding.

The PFC35TH offers a maximum holding torque of 33mNom, 8mNom greater than the standard PFC35 motor and 6mNom greater than the PF35T stepper (also a thin stack model). Despite having a greater holding torque, the PFC35TH weighs eight grams less than the PFC35T (80g vs. 88g) and equal to the standard PF35 motor. The PFC35TH stepper measures 15mm at its widest point, over 5mm less than the standard PF35 motor.

Other features of the PFC35TH rotary motor include a rated voltage of 9V, a starting pulse rate of 400pps, a slewing pulse rate of 470pps, and a resistance of 37W. The total height of the motor is 27mm, 15mm coming from the motor housing and 12mm from the standard shaft.

Because of its high torque output and low profile construction, applications for the PFC35TH tin-can stepper motor include, but are not limited to, printing, packaging, and medical devices.

Nippon Pulse America, Inc. is a fully-owned American subsidiary of Nippon Pulse Motor Co., Ltd of Tokyo, Japan. Nippon Pulse offers various controllers (boards and chips), drivers (boards and chips), and motors (tin-can, hybrid and linear servo) that cover a wide range of motion applications. For more information on the PFC35TH stepper motor or other Nippon Pulse products, please visit www.nipponpulse.com or call 1.540.633.1677.
