August 7, 2008 - Constructed of all-stainless steel, PS-Q Pedestal Post Cube lets researchers mount PS Series Pedestal and Extension posts at 90° angle and create stable, multidimensional structures. Cubes are stacked and aligned onto posts using PS-Q-A thread adaptor that fits into either of 2 counterbores on cube. Thread adaptor enables cube to be rotated to same orientation as any of cubes below it while also providing threaded hole on top of cube for further stacking of posts or other cubes.

Newport Announces the Latest Addition to Its Pedestal Post System - PS-Q Pedestal Post Cube

Irvine, California - May 20, 2008 - Newport Corporation, a worldwide leader in laser and photonic solutions that Make, Manage, and Measure LightSM, today announced the PS-Q Pedestal Post Cube. Newport's new all-stainless-steel pedestal cubes were designed to allow researchers to mount the company's PS Series Pedestal and Extension posts at a 90-degree angle and create ultra-stable, multi-dimensional structures.

According to Rick Sebastian, Product Manager for Newport, "We are very excited to introduce our new pedestal cube product. The PS-Q is a unique solution that allows our customers to stack and align cubes on to posts by using a PS-Q-A thread adaptor that fits into either of the two counterbores on the cube. The thread adaptor allows the cube to be rotated to the same orientation as any of the cubes below it while also providing a threaded hole on top of the cube for further stacking of posts or other cubes. With this feature, the Pedestal Cube can be infinitely stacked while maintaining a common alignment. We believe that this strategic advantage makes our PS-Q the best solution for any laser-based application where researchers want to create highly stable, multi-dimensional structures."
