February 20, 2004 - Series NFT Free Float Steam Traps are available in sizes through 2 in. with flanged, screwed, or socketweld end connections, for pressures to 650 psig and temperatures to 750F. Stainless steel internal components protect against erosion and corrosion, and there are no mechanical components to repair or replace. Optional SLR Orifice provides continuous condensate bleed, which prevents flash steam lockup when it is impossible to install trap at low point in system.

Nicholson Announces NFT Series Free Float Steam Trap

Nicholson Steam Trap, of Walden, New York, announces our NFT Series Free Float Steam Traps for use on process equipment such as heat exchanger and reboilers, as well as steam lines, steam cookers, steam heated vats and a host of petrochemical applications.

Available in sizes ” through 2”, with flanged, screwed or socketweld end connections, for pressures to 650 PSIG and temperatures to 750 degrees Fahrenheit, NFT Series Free Float Steam Traps are ideal for both low and super high capacity applications. They perform equally well at both low (less than 20
PSIG) and high pressures and come with a 3 warranty against defects in material and workmanship.

With our NFT Free Float Steam Trap technology there are no mechanical components to repair or replace, as with mechanical trap technologies, which means reduced maintenance, elimination of spikes in equipment performance, smooth/even flow without high velocity discharge or steam loss and continuous condensate discharge. Our stainless steel internal components protect against erosion and corrosion. And, optional features, such as our SLR Orifice, provide a continuous condensate bleed which prevents flash steam lockup when it is impossible to install trap at low point in system. A wide variety of orifice selections
are also available which provide and excellent flexibility in trap sizing.
