Cool Blue UTD52S series of Thermo-DynamicŪ steam traps is engineered for all-drip and saturated/superheated steam applications with maximum temperature of 750°F and maximum pressure of 450 psig. Small surface of UTD52S cap reduces heat loss and ceramic insulator cover does not touch cap, preventing heat conduction and lengthening cycles. Series includes hardened SS disc and seating surface, electroless nickel-plated cover, and 3-port balanced discharge.

Spirax Sarco Releases Redesigned Thermo-DynamicŪ Steam Trap
BLYTHEWOOD, SC Spirax Sarco has released the newly redesigned Cool Blue UTD52S series of Thermo-DynamicŪ steam traps. The UTD52S, with a standard integral strainer and blowdown, is engineered for most all-drip and saturated or superheated steam applications with a maximum temperature of 750°F(400°C) and a maximum pressure of 450 psig (31 barg).
The robust UTD52S series is highly thermally efficient. The smaller surface of the UTD52S cap reduces heat loss, and the ceramic insulator cover does not touch the cap, preventing heat conduction and lengthening cycles.
The UTD52S series can be installed vertically or horizontally by means of an industry standard universal connector. Every trap is 100% air tested and steam tested at factory to guarantee performance.
Standard offering includes hardened stainless steel disc and seating surface; electroless nickel-plated cover; trap with integral strainer and blowdown; three-port balanced discharge for long lasting seat; and sizes 12-in. (13-mm),34-in. (19-mm) and 1-in. (25-mm) NPT or SW. Available options include SW connections to ANSI B16.11, carbon steel connector and left-handed connector. A five-year warranty is offered when operating with steam pressures below 300 psig (20 barg).
