Westfall Static Injection Mixer, used for blending corrosive chemicals such as chlorine dioxide, has orifice pattern that mixes via combination of alternate vortex shedding and intense shear zone turbulence to achieve greater than 98% dispersion within 10 diameters downstream. Constructed from titanium, zirconium, or Hastelloy®, inline fixed plate mixer, offered in 2-120 in. dia sizes, can be designed for simultaneously injecting up to 6 chemicals.

Static Injection Mixer for Highly Corrosive Applications
A patented, compact in-line static injection mixer that is designed for blending highly corrosive chemicals such as chlorine dioxide is being introduced by Westfall Manufacturing Company of Bristol, Rhode Island.
The Westfall Static Injection Mixer is a fixed-plate that features an orifice pattern which mixes by a combination of alternate vortex shedding and intense shear zone turbulence to achieve > 98% dispersion within 10 diameters downstream. Constructed from titanium, zirconium, or Hastelloy® for use in highly corrosive environments, this in-line fixed plate mixer can be designed for injecting up to six chemicals simultaneously.
Suitable for use in large and small piping systems, the Westfall Static Injection Mixer is offered in 2" to 120" dia. sizes which simply fit inside the mating flange bolt circle. The orifice pattern permits mixing with minimal head loss and the mixers are also offered in stainless steel, PVC, FRP, and other materials. Applications include pulp and paper processing.
The Westfall Static Injection Mixer is priced according to size and mixing requirements. According to the firm, this mixer can save up to 70% in shipping and fabrication costs versus other static mixers.
