June 20, 2008 - Designed for SteamEye® wireless steam trap monitoring system, SteamEye® Starter Kit helps in trialing wireless trap management technology on portion of trap population. It contains all components necessary to begin wirelessly monitoring critical applications, including 4 SteamEye URFC4700 transmitters, 1 SteamEye 4000 Series Gateway, 1 SteamEye 4000 Series repeater, and three ½ or ¾ in. Waveguides. Other components include one 1 in. Waveguide, 2 heat sinks, and 2 insulation wraps.

The Smart Way to Try Wireless Technology

Three Rivers, Mich. - Armstrong Smart Services Group is pleased to announce the introduction of the SteamEye® Starter Kit, an affordable option for customers interested in trialing wireless trap management technology on a portion of its trap population. The Starter Kit allows customers to expand its SteamEye® installation to include additional traps as acceptance of the technology demands.

SteamEye® is a wireless steam trap monitoring system specifically designed to constantly and accurately monitor steam traps and provide status updates every three minutes. SteamEye® will detect a "failed open" or a "failed closed" steam trap. Knowing when and how steam traps fail affords proactive, cost effective, and preventative maintenance measures.

The SteamEye® Starter Kit contains all of the components necessary to begin wirelessly monitoring critical applications, including:

o Four SteamEye URFC4700 transmitters
o One SteamEye 4000 Series Gateway
o One SteamEye 4000 Series repeater
o Three ½" or ¾" Waveguides (pipe mounting hardware for transmitters)
o One, 1" Waveguide
o Two Heat Sinks (required on transmitters 200 psig and above)
o Two Insulation wraps (required for outdoor applications)
