PowerMate®/L P International Inc. Introduces New Retractable Dolly Attachment for Stair Climbers
Brantford, Ont., - PowerMate,® a major player in the Safety Moving Systems for the past 35 years, is excited to announce a brand-new retractable dolly attachment for two of its popular PowerMate® Stair Climbers.
Flat surface moving just got even easier with PowerMate®. The new attachment, designed to make moving loads on the PowerMate® L-1 and LE-1 Series Stair Climbers much easier, is a retractable dolly that folds and kicks out when moving on a flat surface. While not increasing the size of the machine, the dolly helps maintain a 45-degree angle so the operator doesn't have to have the weight of the load on him or her while they're moving.
"It's more ergonomically friendly for the operator; we realize moving heavy loads is a dangerous business," said Paul Gazik, in charge of business development at L P International Inc. "Using the machines the old way there's more weight on the operator; if you let go of the machine, the load drops to the ground. Now with (the new dolly attachment), the operator is in control. If you have to knock on the door, answer your cell phone, or remove obstacles from your path, it maintains the angle and level if you have to stop it."
The new retractable Dolly Attachment is great for customers with longer flat surface moves, long drive-ways and hallways like, schools, institutions, and Facilities Management.
We also have "Rough Terrain Cart" attachments (pneumatic wheels that work with the new L & LE-Series attachment) for sand, gravel, mud, water, ice and snow ... making them perfect for new construction sites and rooftop applications.
Both the PowerMate® L-1 and LE-1 frames contain drive-screws, but the LE-1 model has a second drive-screw, ideal for heavy loads when going up and down stairs. On the LE-1, 1, operators can press the second drive-screw button that, if you have a bottom-heavy load, lifts the load you're carrying to the middle of the frame. It is ideal for stacking large objects.
PowerMate® machines are actually four machines in one: a stair climber, a tail gate lift, a dock/curb leveler, and a well-balanced dolly for flat surfaces and rough terrain moving. And PowerMate® is proven to require 87 percent less effort for the operator than a conventional hand truck.
