Eaton Makes Improvements to Its Aeroquip FBA Performance Stainless Steel Hose
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. ... Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation today announced it has made improvements to Aeroquip(R) FBA Performance stainless steel braided hose in sizes -10 and -12.
The hose's stainless steel wire cover is now less susceptible to discoloring due to a manufacturing change. The two sizes of Aeroquip FBA stainless steel hose no longer have a visible rubber strike through on the outer braid. Rated at 28 IN/HG, the hose still performs to the same high quality standards, but is now more aesthetically pleasing.
The adhesion on the hose's outer braid has been improved to reduce flaring when cutting the hose. As a result, assembly with reusable fittings is easier since less torque is required.
Along with making appearance and performance improvements, Eaton engineers tested -10 and -12 sizes of Aeroquip FBA hose in simulated dry sump applications, which proved their capability to handle a full vacuum without an internal support coil.
Improved, globally available Aeroquip FBA Performance hose is made of a high temperature tube compound that is compatible with petroleum and synthetic lubricants, hydrocarbon fuels and liquid engine coolants with a stainless steel cover.
