July 16, 2010 - With split design that can be clamped around continuously moving material, ½ in. Super Air Wipe(TM) produces uniform, 360° airstream that can blow off, dry, clean, or cool product moving through it. Air velocity can be varied with instant on/off control. Available in aluminum and stainless steel in diameters from ½-4 in. and aluminum in diameters up to 11 in., product features air consumption rate of 13.9 scfm at 80 psig and sound level of 75 dBA.

1/2" Super Air Wipe for Drying Small Diameter Surfaces


EXAIR's new 1/2" Super Air Wipe(TM) produces a 360° airstream that can blow off, dry, clean or cool the material passing through it. The split design can be clamped around continuously moving material such as wire, cable, pipe, hose and extruded shapes.

The 1/2" Super Air Wipe ejects a small amount of compressed air through a thin slotted nozzle that pulls in high volumes of surrounding room air. The airflow uniformly ejects from the 360° of its inner diameter. Coupling brackets that hold each half of the 1/2" Super Air Wipe together can be latched together or removed quickly. Additional shims can be installed if more blowoff force is required. Air velocity can be varied with instant 'on/off' control. Air consumption is 13.9 SCFM at 80 PSIG and the sound level is low at only 75 dBA.

Super Air Wipes are available from stock in aluminum and stainless steel in diameters from 1/2" (13mm) up to 4" (102mm). Large diameters up to 11" (279mm) are available from stock in aluminum. Applications include wiping wire; drying inks, paint and screen printing; cooling hot extruded shapes; and blowoff of water, plating, coatings and dust.
