December 23, 2013 - Comprising 20, 50, 100, and 250 A models, Accu-CT® Series measures AC current and amperage in commercial building energy audits, building commissioning studies, and other applications. Current sensors feature 0.75 in. window opening as well as IEEE C57.13 and IEC 600440-1 accuracy over full temperature range and down to 1% of rated current. Design facilitates opening and installation with one hand, even while wearing safety gloves.

Onset Announces New Current Transformers


BOURNE, MA – Onset (http://www.onsetcomp.com), a world leader in data loggers, today announced a series of high-performance, split-core current transformers for measuring AC current and amperage in commercial building energy audits, building commissioning studies, and other applications.

The Accu-CT® Series current sensors – manufactured by Continental Control Systems and sold through Onset – are available in 20-, 50-, 100-, and 250-amp models, all offering outstanding performance and one-handed operation.

Key advantages include:

• Revenue-grade accuracy
• Window opening 0.75 inch
• Easy open and installation with one hand, even while wearing safety gloves
• Outstanding angle phase angle accuracy – essential for accurate energy measurements
• IEEE C57.13 and IEC 600440-1 accuracy – over full temperature range and down to 1% of rated current
