January 5, 2011 - Used as freezing or chilling solution, CRYOLINE® XF cross flow hygienic spiral freezer promotes cryogen efficiency while reducing overall freezer size for handling raw or cooked chicken breast, formed nuggets, and patties. CRYOLINE CW hygienic tunnel freezer is intended for use with IQF (individually quick frozen) products that tend to clump or stick to belts. It uses proprietary, rolling wave action to maximize yield by minimizing fines loss and locking in moisture.

Linde to Feature Innovative New Freezing Technology at IPE

CRYOLINE® XF cross flow hygienic spiral freezer provides step change increases in production and reductions in cryogen costs

Murray Hill & New Providence, New Jersey, U.S. - In these tough economic times, poultry processors, already saddled with higher costs for ingredients, are looking for increased value in their processing operations. Linde North America, a leading supplier of cryogenic food freezing and chilling equipment, has just what they're looking for - unsurpassed value from state-of-the-art technology that will be featured at this year's International Poultry Exposition in Atlanta's World Congress Center, January 26-28 in booth #4955.

Linde North America, a member of The Linde Group, a world-leading gases and engineering company, will feature its newest hygienic cryogenic freezer - the CRYOLINE® XF spiral freezer, a high performance freezer for raw or cooked chicken breast, formed nuggets and patties.

"The new CRYOLINE XF spiral freezer is a significant step change in spiral freezer technology, delivering increased line production rates while lowering cryogen cost per pound of product," said Mark DiMaggio, head of food and beverage markets, Linde North America. "It is a novel freezer incorporating breakthrough proprietary spiral freezing technology."

The CRYOLINE XF freezer dramatically improves cryogen efficiency, while significantly reducing overall freezer size. The freezer provides twice the heat transfer rate of conventional spiral freezers making it a perfect freezing or chilling solution, with the ability to process a wide range of products and production volumes in relatively small floor space.

Linde will also be featuring its CRYOLINE CW hygienic tunnel freezer. This freezer is designed to freeze IQF (individually quick frozen) products, such as diced and sliced products, wings, mechanically deboned product and any other small items that tend to clump or stick to belts. The freezer uses a proprietary, rolling wave action that gently tumbles layered products to maximize yield by minimizing fines loss and locking in moisture, a distinct competitive advantage over conventional flighted freezers.

"The CRYOLINE CW tunnel freezer is state-of-the-art IQF freezing technology," said DiMaggio. "The dual-function freezer's patented, controllable, rolling wave action delivers the highest attainable IQF product throughput rate. The rolling wave action can also be turned off to change product application, such as freezing flat, trayed or formed products, providing flexibility for use."

The Linde Group is a world leading gases and engineering company with almost 48,000 employees working in more than 100 countries worldwide. In the 2009 financial year it achieved sales of EUR 11.2 billion (USD 15.3 billion). The strategy of The Linde Group is geared towards sustainable earnings-based growth and focuses on the expansion of its international business with forward-looking products and services.

Linde acts responsibly towards its shareholders, business partners, employees, society and the environment - in every one of its business areas, regions and locations across the globe.
