Even Cut Offers Spiral Bands That Provide Consistent Finishes for Flat or Curved Surfaces

CLEVELAND – January 2005 – Even Cut Abrasive Company, a leading supplier of abrasive specialty products to the industrial market for over 75 years, offers a complete line of spiral bands.

The spirally wound band construction produces a “joint less” sanding surface, ensuring consistent finishes on flat and contoured surfaces. Ideal applications for spiral bands are deburring, polishing, blending and general surface finishing.

Spiral bands are mounted on rubber expanding wheels and are usually used on hand-held power tools and drill presses. Large diameter, long length spiral bands also can be used on oscillating spindle sanders and bench grinders. They also are compliant with bench grinders when mounted on rubber cylinders, flex core wheels and slotted expanding wheels.

Spiral bands are manufactured from premium aluminum oxide abrasive grain bonded with resins to a cotton cloth backing material. Spiral bands also are available in silicon carbide or zirconia-alumina grains.

Diameter sizes range from 1/4" to 8" with lengths ranging from 1/2" to 11". Spiral bands are available in a variety of grain types and grits.
