Eliminating need to remove sucker rods from well site, Era® FAST(TM) features 3-fin stator that remains stationary as field-applied rotor/inner sleeve spins freely inside stator. Outer portion is not bonded to rod, minimizing pressure drop of fluid flowing around guide and torque generated by mechanical and hydraulic friction in rotating rod strings. Loose fit between rotor and stator provides large flow passages to keep debris purged from guide.

New Era® Field Applied Spin-Thru Rod Guide Optimizes Sucker Rods
Willis, Texas - The New Era® FAST(TM) (Field Applied Spin-Thru) rod guide eliminates the need to remove sucker rods from the well site, reducing costs and returning rods to service quicker.
The unique 3-fin stator remains stationary as a field-applied rotor/inner sleeve spins freely inside the stator. The Spin-Thru design features an outer (stator) portion that is not bonded to the rod - a significant difference from typical guides for conventional rod strings, which are one piece and bonded to the rod. This new design reduces the pressure drop of the fluid flowing around the guide, and reduces torque generated by mechanical and hydraulic friction in rotating rod strings. The loose fit between the rotor and stator is another benefit and provides large flow passages to keep debris purged from the guide.
