NORD Gear Offers VLII and VLIII Agitator, Mixer and Shredder Reducers
Waunakee, WI - NORD Gear Corporation introduces a line of Agitator, Mixer and Shredder Reducers available in two designs, the VLII and VLIII, depending on load requirements and/or specific application.
The VLII is a "spread bearing design" with an oversize double row spherical bearing on the lower side, which is for use in shredders, mixers or applications requiring increased bearing load carrying capacities and life. Based on the VLII model, the VLIII also incorporates a "dry cavity design" for oil leakage control that provides a high degree of oil safety. The anti-leak QUADRILIPâ„¢ Oil Sealing System is enhanced with an oil collection cavity for "backup", as well as various ways to sense and remove any leakage. Options to both designs include a grease zerk for lubricating the lower bearing, and a removable plug for purging excess grease from the bearing cavity.
Both models operate at 95.5% typical minimum efficiency, and are available in either offset parallel or right-angle bevel speed reducer configurations. For the Offset Parallel Clincher, the VLII and VLIII both provide gear ratios from 4.03:1 to 6616.79:1 and output speeds from 0.26 to 434 rpm from a 1750 rpm motor. For the 90 Series Bevel Right Angle, both models provide gear ratios from 8.04:1 to 4916.63:1 and output speeds from 0.36 to 218 rpm from a 1750 rpm motor.
