NORD Gear Offers Flexbloc(TM) Worm Gear Speed Reducers

Waunakee, WI - NORD Gear Corporation offers Flexbloc right angle worm gear speed reducers featuring the Unicase® housing design and modular construction to suit specific requirements.

The NORD Flexbloc speed reducer stops oil leaks and lowers operational noise due to its Unicase one-piece housing. This unique design eliminates bolt-on covers and split casting, to encompass all gearing within a single piece. Additionally, the aluminum alloy housing is corrosion resistant, never requires painting, and offers improved heat dissipation for cooler operations and extended gear life.

Flexbloc offers customers adaptable solutions through modular construction. An array of bolt-on components can be easily configured to meet specific application requirements. Options for foot mounting or face mounting allow for installation in virtually any position. Choice of C-face motor adaptor or solid input shaft provides additional customization.

NORD Flexbloc speed reducers also include these advantages:

o Compact coupling featuring short compact length, simple mounting and removal

o Lubed for life, a food-grade synthetic lubricant that never requires replacement

o Oversized bearings to provide longer bearing life and assure higher overhung load capacity

o Paint free corrosion resistant alloy construction

o Torque capacity up to 3859 lb-in. handles up to 5 HP motors.

o Available in single, helical or double worm configurations with ratios from 5:1 to 3000:1
