NavSpec(TM) Plus - Affordable Spectrophotometer + Fluorometer
Forston Labs is proud to announce the new, affordable NavSpec(TM) Plus Spectrophotometer + Fluorometer which allows the user to collect a full wavelength spectrum (absorbance, percent transmittance, or intensity) in less than one second. Once the peak wavelength is determined, the user can easily determine the concentration of a solution or monitor rates of reaction.
Uses for the NavSpec Plus Spectrophotometer/Fluorometer include but or not limited to:
o Measure absorbance, percent transmittance, emissions spectra, or fluorescence
o Conduct Beer's law investigations
o Conduct kinetic studies of absorbance vs. time
o Perform equilibrium studies of absorbance vs. time or absorbance vs. concentration
o Conduct experiments on enzyme kinetics
o Perform colorimetric or fluorescent bioassays
o Measure emissions of gas discharge tubes, flame tests, or other light sources, using the Optical Fiber accessory (sold separately)
The optical range is 380 to 950 nm (VIS-NIR). Optical resolution is 2.5 nm. Size of meter is 15cm x 9cm x 4cm.
The unit comes with Spectrophotometer/Fluorometer, USB cable for sending data to a LabNavigator, and 15 plastic cuvettes with lids.
