Axiom Analytical Announces New Infrared Sampling Capabilities for the Bruker Alpha FTIR Spectrometer

TUSTIN, Calif., - Axiom Analytical, Inc. has announced the availability of its new SI-Alpha1 Spectrometer Interface Module. The SI-Alpha1 is designed specifically for use with the Bruker Alpha FTIR spectrometer. It is interchangeable with the Bruker QuickSnap(TM) sampling modules while providing optimum performance with Axiom's ATR probes and other sampling accessories. When used with an ATR probe, it allows a full 180o of rotation about the optical axis, providing maximum flexibility in interfacing to laboratory or process reaction vessels. The SI-Alpha1 employs a unique optical design which accurately matches the numeric aperture of typical sampling accessories. The result is high transmission, maximizing overall performance with a room temperature IR detector.

The new SI-Alpha1 is uniquely suited for use with Axiom's conventional and diamond tipped ATR (attenuated total reflectance) probes that have found widespread use in applications ranging from chemical and pharmaceutical research to incoming inspection of raw materials and on-line process analysis*. These probes feature broad mid-IR spectral response, providing detailed quantitative analysis based on specific chemical functional groups. When combined with the light weight, flexible, and robust Alpha spectrometer, they provide comprehensive systems for both laboratory chemical development and process analysis and control.

About Axiom Analytical, Inc

Axiom Analytical, Inc. was founded in 1988 by Dr. Mike Doyle and Norm Jennings, pioneers in the field of process FTIR spectroscopy. The Company's mission is to develop and market the robust sampling equipment, software, and integrated systems required to fully realize the potential of vibrational spectroscopy for solving economically significant problems both in laboratory analysis and manufacturing processes. The Company's products are employed in diverse industries ranging from basic chemicals to pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, and polymer processing. Its hardware products include ATR probes, transmission probes, diffuse reflectance probes, Raman probes, flow cells for gas and liquid analysis, and fiber-optic multiplexers. These cover the full range of molecular analysis including mid-IR, near-IR, UV-visible, and Raman spectroscopy.
