PORON(R) Urethane foams are low outgassing and demonstrate resistance to compression set. They are available in thin and soft materials cast on PET film, ideal for cushions and seals in small portable electronic devices. V-0 and HF-1 rated, BISCO(TM) Silicone foams retain integrity after long periods under compression and can withstand temperature to 400 deg F. Polyolefin foams are silane, cross-linked foams made from single-site, catalyzed olefin resins.

Rogers to Showcase Expanded Line of Specialty Foams
Rogers, CT, January 10, 2002: Rogers Corporation (NYSE:ROG) will be exhibiting its recently expanded offerings of unique foam
products at this year's National Design Engineering Show. Along
with its exceptionally versatile BISCO(TM) Cellular Silicones and
PORON® Cellular Urethane foams, Rogers will be featuring its
new polyolefin product lines, which include elastomeric and
plastomeric materials.
BISCO(TM) silicone foams and PORON® urethane foams support inventive design by solving difficult gasketing, cushioning, and sealing problems. They are available in continuous rolls.
Test-rated materials are available for use in specific types of equipment, including electronic and electrical equipment, wireless base station enclosures, automotive and transportation
equipment, and household appliances and office machines. Rogers High Performance Foams' product family consists of a wide range of flexible foam materials that offer the best customer value for each design requirement.
PORON(R) Urethanes are low outgassing (to meet stringent anti-fogging criteria) and demonstrate outstanding resistance to compression set. The broad product line includes exceptionally thin materials, thin and soft materials cast on PET film for easier handling, and foams having slow rebound properties. PORON(R) urethane foams carry a variety of UL® and other ratings that are recognized around the world. Most thicknesses of PORON(R) urethane foams meet the UL 94 HBF requirements necessary for many electronic and consumer products, and several formulations meet the stringent UL-JMST2 ratings for component gasket
materials. Customers are also finding that the thinner and softer versions of PORON(R) materials are ideal for cushions and seals in small, portable electronic devices. For example, in the
densely-packed housings of wireless handsets, PORON(R) materials are used to protect and separate stacked circuit boards and electronic components. They are also used to create speaker gaskets and battery cushion pads and to provide protection for LED and LCD displays. fogging requirement.
