Kitagawa Introduces ML Series Extra Long Jaw Stroke Specialty Chucks for Odd Shaped Workpieces

Schaumburg, IL - (August 12, 2004) Kitagawa's new ML Series satisfies the industry's demand for extra long jaw stroke specialty chucks. The ML Series is part of the Kitagawa niche based specialty workholding offered by NorthTech Workholding. Kitagawa has engineered a long jaw stroke power chuck available in three, two and single jaw configurations.

The Kitagawa ML 3-jaw configuration is a long stroke chuck with up to 1" stroke per jaw as standard. This chuck is ideal for gripping workpieces with flanges that must be swallowed requiring the jaws to open far enough to clear the larger diameter flange and grip on the smaller diameter datums.

The MLT is Kitagawa's 2-jaw long stroke chuck. It is ideally suited for square, rectangular or unusually shaped workpieces.

The single jaw version of Kitagawa's long stroke chuck is the MLV. It incorporates a custom designed fixed locator or jig for locating workpieces.

All three configurations are available in 6" or 8" sizes. The ML Series power chucks feature unique functionality allowing workholding engineers to satisfy the most challenging of today workholding applications.
