Acoustawall(TM) System Saves Installation Cost, Reduces Noise

NEWBERRY, SC - Shakespeare Composite Structures has introduced the AcoustaWall(TM) Sound
Barrier System, which cost-effectively contains and mitigates noise and light pollution from transformer yards and other sources. This weather- and fire-resistant barrier dramatically exceeds American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) and Department of Transportation (DOT) specifications, and is more effective than concrete, metal, or wood.

The modular, lightweight sections - weighing only 7.5 pounds per square foot - install quickly using a simple post and foundation design. Installation is faster and less expensive than other systems because the AcoustaWall System requires no heavy lifting equipment, and can be installed with fewer personnel.

The AcoustaWall System uses unwanted scrap waste from recycled vehicle tires as filler for fiberglass-reinforced polymer composite, tongue-and-groove modular sections.

The system is available in heights up to 28 feet (8.5 m) in virtually any color or color combination. It will blend beautifully with its surroundings, obscuring unsightly equipment and excluding vandals' prying eyes.
