Oil Only and Universal Sorbent Pads and Rolls Keep Industrial Facilities Safe, Clean and Compliant

SPC introduces BASIC(TM) sorbent pads and rolls as cost-effective solution for absorbing leaks, drips and spills

Milwaukee, WI- In the midst of a tough economic climate, it's never been more important for manufacturing and industrial companies to ensure the safety and compliance of their workplaces. Sorbent Product Company (SPC), a Brady Business (NYSE:BRC), has expanded its family of high-performance sorbents to include a SPC BASIC(TM) line of oil only and universal sorbent pads and rolls, equipping companies of all sizes and budgets with sorbent solutions for a safe, compliant and productive work environment.

In order to avoid costly fines from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and reduce liability risks associated with slips, trips and falls, companies must make sure their facilities have clean, dry workplace floors and suitable quantities of sorbents on hand to respond quickly when leaks, drips and spills occur.

SPC offers a variety of high-performance sorbent solutions, including sorbent pads, rolls, spill kits, socs, mats, and rugs specially fabricated to effectively absorb almost all oils, coolants, solvents, chemicals and water-based fluids. SPC sorbents are more efficient, safe and cost-effective than granular absorbents and clays, which are expensive to dispose of, difficult to clean up, and potentially damaging to equipment and products.

The latest addition to the SPC family of sorbents is the SPC BASIC sorbent line, a variety of oil only and universal sorbent pads and rolls that offer companies a cost-effective solution for absorbing leaks, drips and spills. Like other SPC sorbents, the SPC BASIC line sorbents have a high absorption ratio, absorbing up to 20 times its weight in oil, and are designed with a low lint finish that leaves less unwanted lint on equipment and parts. To help companies sustain their lean initiatives and reduce costs, SPC BASIC sorbents are also perforated into smaller sections so companies can use only the minimum amount of product that is needed for each job, eliminating unnecessary waste.

Dimpled for durability, the SPC BASIC sorbents are an ideal solution for manufacturing facilities, printing industries, transportation facilities, spill control and marine spills. They are available as sorbent pad or sorbent rolls, and companies have the option of ordering them in either oil only absorbency or universal absorbency.
