Operating on 5 Vdc, 9000 Sonar Ranging Module provides solution for interfacing piezo ultrasonic transducers with external circuitry or controller for ultrasonic sensing in various applications. TTL pulse-width output is proportional to distance to target. As matched component pair, 9000 transducer and ranging module can detect objects or liquid surfaces from 1-18 ft. Areas of use include liquid level sensing in tanks and anti-collision sensor for AGVs.

New Drive Module Speeds Development of Piezo Ultrasonic Transducer Applications
LIVONIA, Michigan, --November 15, 2006-SensComp, Inc. is pleased to announce the introduction of our new "9000 Sonar Ranging Module". This new sonar ranging module provides engineers and designers a fast and easy solution to interfacing piezo ultrasonic transducers, such as our 9000 series transducer, with the customer's external circuitry or controller for ultrasonic sensing in a variety of applications. Operates on 5 VDC and provides a TTL pulse-width output proportional to distance to target. As a matched component pair, the 9000 transducer and ranging module can detect objects or liquid surfaces from 1 to 18 feet (0.3 to 5.5 meters). Common applications include liquid level sensing in tanks, anti-collision sensor for AGV's, and other industrial environment applications.
SensComp also provides the Series 9000 OEM Kit for prototype and technology feasibility studies, as well as an instructional tool for studies in ultrasonic measurement and proximity experiments in high school and university labs.
