July 31, 2014 - Adjustable for each soldering pattern, Multi-phi Laser Soldering System enables components to be soldered from any direction without interference. Variable diameter laser beam optimizes energetic conversion into heat, so system provides optimal conditions for each component and pattern. Further, system is immovable with fixed z-axis distance and its variable is 0.004-0.12 in.

Press release date: July 1, 2014

TOKYO, JAPAN – Japan Unix Co., a world leader in the development and distribution of soldering robots, has today announced it will debut a new laser soldering robot, the Multi-phi laser, in Booth # A-1J10 at Nepcon South China, scheduled to take place August 26-28, 2014 at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center in Shenzhen, China.

The new Multi-phi laser soldering system will be on display for the first time in China. This laser soldering system can be adjusted for each soldering pattern. The variable diameter laser beam optimizes the energetic conversion into heat, so the system provides ideal conditions for each component and pattern. With this laser, components can be soldered from any direction without interference. Further, it is immovable with fixed z-axis distance and its variable is 0.004-0.12".

The UNIX-413S Mid-size Soldering Robot and the UNIX-414S Wide-area Soldering Robot are two new machines from the Solder Meister line which are being debuted at the show.  By offering two slim types, the customer can choose the best robot for their soldering needs. Both come with a clean cut feeder and lock-on mechanism, both popular add-ons, for high precision jobs.  These models are built for durability and repeatability, and are easily installed at any factory.  This flexible line is available for both inline and cell-type production.

Also on display at the show will be the 5-Axis Scara Selective Soldering Robot Unix-700H which supports massive production with a fast circular motion.  The Unix-700H features a top speed of 7,128 mm/sec with high repeatability, accuracy and rigidity.  It also boasts an adjustable stroke length of 350 mm, 450 mm, and 550 mm. This robot is suitable for the laser and soldering iron technics.
