January 8, 2013 - Available with 2-12 zones, N-Zone Solar Simulator was developed in response to trend for multi-junction cells having more than 4 junctions. Zone intensities can be independently adjusted, recorded, and recalled via central computer allowing for spectral configurations and calibration settings to be applied with click of button. Full test/measurement hardware and software, including CCD spectrometer, can also be installed and operated via central computer.

N-Zone Solar Simulator


TS-Space Systems is pleased to announce a new design multi-zone simulator. This has been developed in response to the trend for multi-junction cells having more than four junctions. The Unisim range is capable of being expanded beyond four junctions but becomes less elegant and so it was decided to make a new approach.

We therefore introduce the new N-Zone Solar Simulator from TS-Space Systems which has the following attributes:
a) The same close match spectrum, either AM0 or AM1.5, as always.
b) Two to twelve zones, as required. Specify at time of ordering.
c) The intensity of each zone is adjustable over the range +/- 20% (greater if required).
d) Each zone is independently adjustable. Zones are entirely separate, with no impact on other zones, hence no iteration during set-up. Each zone takes a couple of minutes to set intensity.
So, for instance, you would expect to set a six-zone instrument in less than twenty minutes.
e) With the Unisim series we made great progress in improving the ease of usability and maintenance of our simulators. The N-Zone continues this trend and will be our first computer controlled simulator. Zone intensities can be adjusted, recorded and recalled via a central computer allowing for spectral configurations and calibration settings to be applied
with the click of a button.
f) Full test/measurement hardware and software, including a CCD spectrometer for measuring spectral adjustments in real-time, can also be installed and operated via the central computer. Specify at time of ordering.
