June 10, 2009 - Designed for use with slow-cure encapsulants, PVguard(TM) 105040W Backsheet Protective Laminate is RoHS-compliant and constructed of TPE (Tedlar®/PET/EVA). PVguard 10E40W Backsheet Protective Laminate, suited for use with fast-cure encapsulants, also features TPE construction and is RoHS-compliant as well as UL-recognized. Partial discharge rating from TUV is greater than 1,000 V for both products, which also deliver UV and moisture protection required in photovoltaic panel production.

To enhance strength and durability, FLEXcon incorporates a high-performing, proprietary laminating adhesive for superior film bonding. PVguard 105040W is FLEXcon's Backsheet Protective Laminate for use with slow-cure encapsulants. It is a TPE - Tedlar®* / PET / EVA - construction that is RoHS compliant and has a partial discharge rating from TUV of >1000 volts. PVguard 10E40W is a Backsheet Protective Laminate for use with fast-cure encapsulants. It is also a TPE - Tedlar®* / PET / EVA - construction that is RoHS compliant and UL recognized under UL QIHE2 file number E318502. PVguard 10E40W backsheet has a partial discharge rating from TUV of >1000 volts. The white EVA tie layer on both PVguard products, which adheres to the encapsulant EVA during module lamination, provides for reflectivity to improve module efficiency.
