Enhanced VGuard Features Include “My Channels,” Improved Live Audio/Video Functions and Image Watermarking.
Los Angeles, CA, April 14, 2003 – Revotech, the leading provider of Revolutionary Technology, has announced the release of the new Chateau Version 1.04 software for its VGuard Digital Video Surveillance System.
“My Channels“ is an exclusive feature, permitting the selection up to 16 video and audio feeds, from up to 16 different servers or locations, to a single screen. “Previously, a screen could have a 16 camera view, but for only one location at a time” says Revotech’s Steve Rochman. “With Chateau XP 1.04, it is possible to view the cash register or front door of up to 16 different sites, all on one monitor and all at the same time.”
The improved live audio/video functions provide corresponding audio to every video feed. Audio is captured and transmitted and/or recorded on all channels during recording, monitoring and playback. “Along with our new watermarking, the improved audio/video functions provide an additional, high level of sophisticated security,” adds Rochman.
Watermarking protects the data from tampering by spreading an encoded, invisible tag across a frequency within the image. Cropping or otherwise modifying the image will alter the watermark and similarly, altering the watermark will visibly damage the image. The watermark does not materially affect the digital image quality or compression effectiveness.
