Engenium's Semetric Uses Intelligent 'Brain' to Fuel Dynamic Searching
Patented technology enables Semetric to 'learn' as 'brain' is utilized
DALLAS, Aug. 2 -- Engenium has just introduced the newest version of its next-generation Semetric searching solution. Semetric V.4.0 is an innovative tool that uses conceptual meaning and context in addition to traditional keywords to perform highly efficient and accurate searches. The solution was developed with the idea that the ambiguity of the English language can often lead search engines that depend on keyword searching to irrelevant or undesirable results.
Semetric eliminates this problem, "learning" from and according to the information that users provide. Engenium's patented "ConceptSpace" technology powers Semetric, and gives the search tool the ability to create relationships between data loaded into the "DocSets," as well as from related concepts and keywords that are found within the documents to be searched. As more and more documents are added to Semetric, the ConceptSpace grows, "learning" to perform searches that yield more accurate and precise results.
Unlike many searching tools, Semetric does not use a thesaurus or list of synonyms to power keyword searches. The ConceptSpace "brain" is built from the ground up, and is portable for use with multiple information sets that are closely related. As each different ConceptSpace is created based on the relationships within a specific data set, organizations and businesses can create industry-specific ConceptSpaces that can be used for searching through various document or data sets.
Easily integrated into existing applications, Semetric is completely invisible to end-users, who use an existing interface to run queries while Engenium's technology works through and completes each individual search behind the scenes. Even if the end-user is not well versed in query construction, as soon as a document is identified that fits what the user is looking for, the entire document or a section of the document can be entered as a query, allowing users to find related documents or data to complete their search.
Semetric has recently been updated and released, and version 4.0 is currently available to businesses. This newest version builds upon Semetric's ability to combine parametric, keyword and conceptual searches, providing the technology with strong backend support to ensure that the program can run in clustered environments at top speed, and includes enhancements to Semetric's keyword-searching capabilities.
